OVERDRIVE 2 RELEASE NOTES

Version 2.0.3   2/6/12

ICC Profiles (.icc and .icm files) can now be dragged onto the Job or Done list to automatically copy the profile to the correct system location.

An info button (a small blue circle with an “i”) now appears next to each job when selected in the Job or Done list. Clicking this button opens the Job Attributes dialog.

“Job Attributes…” was added to the contextual menu when a Job item is control-clicked.

When the Job Attributes dialog is opened for a job in the Job or Done list, the job’s status changes to “Attributes open.” The Job Attributes dialog must be closed in order to change the job’s status to "Ready" so it may print.

Both the PPD and PPD Installer application (located in the Utilities folder within the ColorBurst Overdrive folder) have been updated to version 4.0.

You can now save a copy of any file in the Job or Done list by dragging it out (one at a time or multiple) onto the desktop or into a folder.

An Export Current Environment feature was added to the Help menu. This can be used to share Environments with other users.

Environment files (.cbenv files) can now be dragged to the Job List or Done List to automatically add them to the list of available Environments.

Several changes affecting the positioning of images on the printed page were made.

The Dynamic Height option in the Job Paper Height Settings is now dimmed when Sheet is selected. If Environments were previously saved with this combination, Absolute Height will be chosen instead.

The note after the Use Embedded Profiles checkbox was reworded.

Fixed a problem with some Photoshop CS4 and CS5 files that were not importing with the correct size.

More consistent application startup times are now achieved.

As ICC Profiles are added or removed from the system location, menus within Overdrive are notified and automatically updated. There could be a slight delay until system profile indexing has completed.

The Print Preview option now defaults to unchecked rather than checked.

Changed the default RGB Input rendering intent to Perceptual.

Code cleanup and optimization was performed.

Version 2.0.2   1/17/12

A fix was made to the automatic update mechanism. Version 2 releases prior to 2.0.2 cannot be automatically updated. From this version onward the automatic update mechanism should be able to work properly.

Version 2.0.1   1/16/12

Changes were made to the method of determining the initial rotation of certain files.

Version 2.0   1/9/12

Release of version 2.0. Completely rewritten as a 64-bit Cocoa application based on a new architecture that effectively uses multi-core processors. This results in significantly faster processing speeds compared to Overdrive v1. A new visual interface includes a preview and scalable thumbnails in the Job List. Other features include improved text quality and proofing accuracy.
